WALK4BERMUDA

April 15, 2018 Victoria Park

Families, friends, coworkers and community groups came to Victoria Park on April 15, 2018 and walked for hope, connection and compassion. Walkers were welcomed by Chewstick Foundation rocking some awesome music. The walk began with strangers pairing together in order to walk the route with someone they didn’t know. Ron Lightbourne played “On a Small Blue Planet” and sang the fitting words that speak to the spirit of the walk. It was a wonderful gathering of a diverse cross section of Bermuda - male, female, gay; Portuguese, Philippino, Bermudians, expats; young children, elderly and the physically challenged. Along the route and in Victoria Park’s band shelter knowledgable volunteers told stories of the history of the surrounding area.
